    Hello Everyone,

We made it safely to California. The airlines that we flew charges for seats but will assign seats if you don't want to pay. We did not want to pay so we prayed and asked God to put us together and He did. It was a wonderful example of God taking care of even the little requests.

    The following is our itinerary:

"Mount Vernon Christmas" by MFD on Dec. 11 in the mountains.

Twin Peaks Community Church on Dec. 12-Greg is sharing and preaching.

San Diego Dec. 14 thru 17

"Estudio Biblico" at Twin Peaks Community Church Dec. 18.

Twin Peaks Community Church on Dec. 19.

"Happy 30th Wedding Anniversary" for Greg and Jeanette Dec. 20.

San Diego Dec. 21 thru 29 "Merry Christmas".

Sierra Madre Dec. 30 thru Jan. 1 "Happy New Year".

"Meet your Missionaries Luncheon" at Calvary Chapel El Cajon on Jan. 2 .

"Civil War Ball" on Jan. 7 in the mountains.

Jan 8th thru 28 is unscheduled.

Jan. 29 leave for Guatemala and arrive on Jan. 30.

Telephone numbers where we can be reached:

Don and Anita Lewis 626-355-6294 Sierra Madre

David and Barbara Daly 909-337-1955 Twin Peaks

    Esther Ramsey 619-807-8716 San Diego

Our temporary cell number is 626-755-5166

We are looking forward to seeing you all. Thank you so much for supporting us both prayerfully and financially this year.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

    Greg and Jeanette

    Hello Everyone,

Lydia is ministering in San Andres Quiche this week doing a VBS and street witnessing. They are expecting 200 to 300 children to attend. Please pray for her, the group and the village children, that God would bless and protect them. Pray that many children would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Lydia will be back next Tuesday.

    Have a great day,

    Greg and Jeanette

    Hello Everyone,

Praise the Lord the purple van is now legal to drive in Guatemala and we are just waiting for the license plates. It was put into service for the Deaf today bringing people to and from church. Another Praise the Lord is that we were able to find and buy plane tickets for less than $400 each to fly home for Christmas. I think we have to stick our arms out the windows and flap them up and down but that's OK.

We have some needs that we would like prayer for:

    1. Tomorrow, Monday, we will be counseling a young deaf couple getting married in a couple of weeks. We have been asked to talk to them about the honeymoon and things of that sort. Please pray for us and for them as well. This is new territory for us not to mention the language barrier.

    2. Greg's mom sent us the pink slip to the white van and it should be here in a few days. Please pray that it arrives quickly and safely.

    3. We have some extra financial needs this month which include a rack for the top of the white van ($200), our registration fee for the campamento ($206), and taxes to import the white van ($500), we hope. The taxes for the purple van were about $650 more than what we were originally told. Please be in prayer for us that God would meet these financial needs.

As always we thank you for your prayers and support.

    Dios les bendiga,

    Greg and Jeanette

    10/24/10

    Hello Everyone,

Last week was a great week and this coming week has its challenges. Last Tuesday, Gustavo returned from El Salvador with a praise report that three people were saved and three people were baptized. Praise The Lord! On Friday we went to San Bernardino to teach again and our only students were Debora and her family. By the end of the class, our disappointment turned into joy because it was obvious that we had connected with Debora and her parents were very excited. Of course, this is to say nothing of our excitement. The teaching consisted of colors, numbers, family, fruits, vegetables and words such as: good, bad, yes, no, please and thank you. We also taught the two verbs of tener and querer (to have and to want). It was amazing to see Debora grasp the concept of verbs. Much was learned that day and we drove away with insights into ways of teaching the deaf and a profound sense that God had blessed our efforts.

This morning was the start of our bus route taking the Deaf to and from church. It was a success except that we left Pastor Elvis at the second stop. We were ahead of schedule and everyone thought that he was going another way so we left without him. At the third stop he called and asked "Where are you?". We went back and picked him up. Oh well, we'll do better next week. Everyone wanted me to express their gratitude to you all for the van. They truly feel blessed.

The challenge for this week is to get the paperwork figured out for the purple van. Elvis and I are driving to the border and staying two days at his aunt's house in Mexico so I can renew the van's permit and/or pay the import taxes. We tried to do it in the city but to no avail. Please pray for safety and also that we would be able to pay as little as possible. Jeanette and the kids will hold the fort down while I'm gone.

Thanks again for all your prayers and support.

    Bendiciones,

    Greg and Jeanette

    Hello Everyone,

Just a quick note on the van. We drove to North Hills and bought a 1999 Ford E350 van with only 46,500 miles on it. It looks like a brand new van inside and out and we got it for a great price. I drove it to a gas station in El Cajon (172 mile trip from North Hills to El Cajon) and then put 10.18 gallons of gas into it. That's 17 miles per gallon, PTL!

Thanks to all who prayed. Our God is awesome!!

    More details later,

    Greg and Jeanette
